My 5 yr old gets a 20 minute recess at the end of the day. She's so exhausted by the time she gets home from the long school day she is walking tantrum until bed. She's in kindergarten and gone 8 hours from the time she walks out the door to when she gets home. Our evenings are a rush to have dinner or go to T-ball or whatever we want to try to squeeze in until bed. It's awful. I basically barely see my sweet girl until the weekend, and I don't work. It's ridiculous. I may pull her out and homeschool just so I can be involved in her life and education. I feel she is learning things, but not anything I couldn't have taught her at home.
