Outstanding conversation, thank you! I had a terrible reading score after second grade, so my mom made me read a book a week that summer. I was really mad at her initially for "ruining" my vacation. But it turned out to be the best thing she ever did for me. I became an avid reader for the rest of my life, though I am definitely struggling more to read book now since the invention of the smart phone. Also, as an Orthodox Christian, I think the Lives of the Saints can serve as wonderful inspirational biographies to help us through difficult times in one's life for believers.
