Not enough people can follow your line of reason, unless some time in their lives, they saw a link between their efforts and their results. Rewarding results don't always follow effort, but worthwhile results follow intelligent effort more than not.
I never grew up on a ranch or farm; my father never ran his own business, so what enabled me to see the link? Surely not the following:
I studied Marxism, at college, more than I care to remember and know considerable detail of Marx's life from university to demise. The private man, Marx's, tastes, outlook, and ways get little publicity. All of those are recorded, but few seem interested in checking.
Here is the truth: Marx thought he was way better than others. Though his reasoning was warped, he WAS very bright and ferocious in debate, vowing to crush any who disagreed with him. His specialty was polemic journalism which is all that Kapital Vol I, which he personally wrote, was comprised of. Deep hate and frequent visions of violence and what he would like to do to hated others, if only he had the power, tell what he was like.
Next, Marx much fancied the good life and status--never to be his after university. He envisioned being a university prof, but his views' publication got the Prussian state police's attention first.
No professorship, but he kept the superior person's lack of humility and the sloth that comes naturally to many academics. Marx was massively lazy and never wrote Vols II, and III of Kapital that Engels had paid him to.
Marx was also extremely resentful and grew more so with time. Count on >99% of socialists nursing resentment of their own lot and resentment of others' hardships. Resenting others' hardships helps because to many, altruistic resentment lends the resenter instant authenticity and moral authority. But just try resentment for yourself and see what it gains you. The only way to have a loser attitude and make it big under socialism is as one of the movement's top organisers. Think of the Castros, Chavez, Maduro, Ortega, Lenin, Stalin. Not so different from Marcoses and other crooks, who are just greed-driven. To make viciousness pay, one FIRST needs power.
$40 trillion is the number of dollars in circulation, more or less.
Repaying debt (via taxes) removes the dollars from circulation
Wish John would just ignore organized labor and working people. His disdain for both is despicable.
John,
You just make too much sense!
