How a Cultural Revolution Rotted Academia: The Death of Debate - Pt 4

The president’s speech tonight was equal parts strong, enthusiastic leadership (unlike sleepy Joe), and excessive hyperbole. I'm a high school literacy educator who wants MAGA be successful. I'm a lapsed/disaffected former Democrat, now an Independent (NP).

I have a few important points about making AMERICAN EDUCATION great again. I will try to be succinct.

When it comes to the decline of our great country, IT’S NOT THE FASCISM…IT’S THE DEATH OF LITERACY.

1. BRING BACK LOW-TECH ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS. Kids need a strong foundation in the primary years, and classical literacy and numeracy are the way to do it. I am a certified Montessori teacher. Tech bros send their kids to Montessori schools. (Listen to "The AI Revolution Is Coming for Your Kids" by Dad Saves America on YouTube.)

2. PRIORITIZE MEDIA LITERACY & CIVICS. Teach our kids to see through the BS! Tell Arizona Republicans to stop gutting public ed. Reckless, politically hostile policies harm kids. Dismantle DEI at the college level.

(In the past, I've written about the secret social transitions in schools. I’ve learned firsthand that unions, HR, and activists will say they’re helping trans kids so they can get hormones, blockers, and surgeries for their “queer” adult friends. The SJ term is “allyship.” RAISE TAXES ON DEMOCRATS’ QUEER ELECTIVE HEALTHCARE!)

3. PRIORITIZE TEACHERS AND HIGH QUALITY TEACHER TRAINING. We need to investigate how to make teaching a great profession for citizens. While I am concerned about the outsourcing of teaching jobs to Southeast Asians here in TUSD, these are good teachers, and they may be better than the young ones here.

Please save public education. Do what's right for our kids.
