I have something to confess. I’ve become obsessed with Claude Code. Over the past few months, I’ve built about a half dozen customized software tools that I’ve wished were on the market for years.
Just because you can do something, doesn’t mean that it’s good / beneficial / worthwhile / significant / meaningful.
Perhaps AI is merely supplanting climate change, as the next big distraction. We currently lack perspective. How will AI impact our basic needs: food, shelter, security - work & love?
I think our biggest problems, right now, are political. “Democracies” that are unresponsive to the wants and needs of peoples, and the great disparity in wealth and incomes.
